June 13 Sunday Read &c. this muggy morning. Claude was down. Went up there after dinner. Mr. Green was there to dinner & stayed till about six. Channie kept standing up and crowning - very cute. I took his picture - also both the babies in the wheelbarrow. They were dears. It was a lovely afternoon. Mother came up & I walked down with her. June 14 Mon. Warm. Went without my coat for the first time this summer. Letter from Edith Hillman saying she is coming East. Went over to Rowe's a little while this evening & then read Geo. Harris' letters about Portage, which Meta lent me. John Frey was in an automobile accident in Cleveland, but not badly hurt - some were. June 15 Tues. Fine day. Went home to lunch tho' it was housecleaning. Went to Cro'nest at night to see Jo who had just arrived. Hemeny ran to kiss Aunt Maisie. Went to "Facing the Music" at the Lyceum with Mary D. June 16 Wed. Lovely day & everything went lovely till about 5 p.m. when it changed to "the 16th" suddenly and everything went wrong. Went over to the Hippodrome for a little while and then home. House very much upset. June 17 Thurs. Letitia left for Keene Valley to stay two weeks with the Taylors, on her vacation. June 18 & June 19 Sat. Still house cleaning. Lunched at Seel's. "Fine and cloudy" day. Lunched at Cafeteria with Edith, Mary Gridley, Mary D, the
