altogether pleasant. She has lovely prints of pictures.
Marguerite Rowe is to teach No. 15 kinder-
garten - beginning tomorrow.

Pleasanter. Home to lunch but staid down tonight to see some moving pictures.
Sept. 14 Tues
Really hot today. Claude went to
Detroit & Chgo. Lunched with
Mary & Bess at
Sibley's (Mary's treat) Mother &
Mrs. Sackett were there too. Went home to supper with
Lura & we went over to the
MacArthur's in the evening & sat on the piazza. Heard all
about the new baby next door. Had beer &c later.
Sept. 15 Wed
Still hot. Put on my coolest Gertrude
dress this p.m. It rained at night. Went to "The Blue Mouse" with
Nellie & Lura. It
was a lurid sort of a thing - quite im- moral, but very well done - Clyde
Fitchy
to a degree. The wife & husband - really character parts (the older ones)
- were the best. The woman was in "Girls" & good in that too.
Coming home Theo was in the car - in a sort of a dazed state I think the conductor
tho't he was drunk - It turned out he was sick. John came and the doctor and I finally asked Frieda what I could do. She said they wd stay with
him and she went up to Amelie's - I didn't go
to sleep till three. I think Freida is much perturbed
about something not going right!
