Mar. 5. Fri. Bright cold & windy. Went to Savage's "Merry Widow" tonight with Bess & Mary. It was - very gay & well put on & the audience very large The music is lovely & the dancing. I enjoyed it fully as well as I did a year ago in N.Y. Tho' the Cavelier song wasn't as good as Donald Brian's - nor the waltzing. Mar. 6. Sat.

"Brite & fare". JG. home from his N.Y. negotiations. Lunched alone at Sibley's. Henry is 2 1/2 years old & weighs 30 1/2 pounds or without his outside wraps. Mar. 7. Sun. Dark damp horrible weather. Nobody ought to stay in Rochester in Feb. & March. Mary came home last night - after 15 mos in N.Y. She & Nellie went to Cro'nest with me this pm. Henry is well again - Chandler & Letitia much better - but Claude's cold pretty bad today. After the girls went I stopped at Amelie Frey's. She insisted I should stay supper with her & Jno. & Dorothy (Don away) & Meta, Theo & The twins
