Julia (the new girl) Took Henry & Chan (over to the Park (Mother & I) in the "Tally ho". They were dears. Later she & I went over to Davis' for a little while. Oct. 4 Mon. Went to hear Eleanor Robson with Bess, Mary & Marguerite. It was fine Oct. 5 Tues. Mrs. Burnetts's
"Dawn of a Tomorrow" a great London-fog scene &c. Lunched with Father - dear at Sibley's grille Then went to the "Y" for Mother. Francey Davis was there - & so sweet. Oct. 6. Wed. A gorgeous day. Nice note from Eo. I go Friday - Praying for good weather! Oct. 7. Thurs. Lovely day. 75 distinguished Japanese here, entertained by the city. They are putting up decorations for the exposition. Lunched at Sibley's with Father, Mary
 & Bob. Went over to Meta's tonight & had a long talk with her about Leslie Weller to whom Frieda is engaged! It is to be announced Halloween, but has been going on since just before Meta went, in August. His sisters are Mrs. Doyle (Doyle's Gallery) & Mrs. William
 (?) He has a semi-invalid mother & rather a sporty father. Is a dentist & lives on Monroe Ave, opp. Avondale Park. Figured &c. tonight. Henry telephoned! Packed. Oct 8. Fri. Warm & sunny & fine. Went to Nan's at 8:30 & had a good brushing there to the 9:45 train. Purposed took that not to get to Troy too early! Of course
