Jan. 17 Fri. Papa went to Dansville this a.m. I lunched home for a change (Mother taking care of Fred, who is sick) Tonight called on Caring a little while and found Jno. & Mae Stull here when I got back. They were delightful, as usual, and have just bought back their dear old West Ave. house!

Jan 18. Sat. Bright, but windy & horrid. Claude has decided to stay over Sunday in Boston (with Bacon) I lunched with Bess & Mary Belle at the Samovar & then went to the P.O. to see Chattie. Papa got back from Dansville this pm. & we had a nice visit at Supper. Expect the Mr. & Mrs. Skipper to call tonight (Leighton still here) Later: They did - a very pleasant call indeed, too. Jan. 19 Sun. A gray day. This afternoon I spent at Cro'nest and Lura came up to see Henry. He was perfectly bewitching with his little iron man - doll. Kept pointing to it and looking at her and roaring with laughter. She was charmed. Jan. 20-21 Mon. Tues. Nothing much happening. Lonesome without our Claude - who is at Bacon's in Boston. Tuesday night was mild - I dined with the Hamilton Davises - walked out there. Jno. Graham was there too. Had a delicious dinner - helped wash dishes and had a long visit with Milly who told all about how they happened to go to Pointe - au Baril - and stay &c. says Jack
may build on the mainland next year, and Addie
run their boarding house! Late home
