to read. Showers at a distance in the afternoon made it pretty & we came down to Hammondsport (or up?) the pretty time of day. Got awfully sleepy before we reached home. Found it had been raining deluges here - but we only came into it about at Avoca. Father met me with an umbrella. (Supper on the train) June 15 Mon. Am reading "Somehow Good" tonight and enjoying it immensely. De Morgan suits me. June 16. Tues. Lunched with Jo at Sibleys & then shopped with Mother. Getting warm again. June 17. Wed. Cool & nice. Lunched alone at Sibleys. Miss Bradshaw is having a strenuous time with beaux - classified as follows. Class A, Nelson Gould, Class B. Ed Randall, (Avoca) Barrett Randall (St Paul) Class C, Mr. Mullin, Mr. Smith. It's 1 or more every night! June 18. Thurs. Warm, but a cool evening. Went over to Davis's and had a nice piazza-call. Helen just home from Baltimore & Wash- ington & had a lovely time &c. &c. Mrs. Davis [illegible], Mrs. Baker to Syracuse tomorrow.
