Oct. 18. Fri
A lovely October day I went to Dr. Scranton's
for a few
minutes and then to Nan's to get my hair
brushed. Then had a sandwich and coffee at Sibley's (alone). Mother went to
Penfield to stay over Sunday with the
Gaston's. Papa,
Zozie and I keeping house tonight.
Oct. 19. Sat.
Up early and got breakfast. Stayed down to lunch at the Samovar with Bess
and
Mary Belle. They like my new hat with the
cocque feather. Went to Dansville at five on the Erie.
Mr. Jennings went in his auto with a lady &
Mrs. J.
and
Libbie Parker, a married sister & her little girl. We
talked "Peter Pan" (which Mrs. A.
had just seen) Then "shopped" a little and went to the "Theatorium"
(moving pictures.)
Talked rather late when we all got home.
Oct. 20. Sun.
It was pouring wet this morning. Had breakfast about
8:45 and Mrs. A & Edith& I went to church - also Mrs. D.
(earlier). Dr Kittridge (who came up in the car
with me last night) preached. Lizzie Mc Curdy wouldn't
let me come into her S.S.
