snow storm) we all went over from the
office to Elm Street and bowled and then Gilmore had invited all ten of us over to the
Masonic Club to a dinner - which was charming
It was such a blizzard outside and so delightful and cozy such a
delicious dinner inside. We went home rather early tho' (before ten)
because cars looked dubious.
Friday, Jan 24 Sat.
Lunched at Sibleys with Papa. Herb
Caswell called tonight. Barbara is
sick. Read handwriting for girls tonight.
Sun. Jan 26
Dark day. Claude came down this a.m.
with Carl. I went up soon after dinner - but he rested till dark,
upstairs. I had Henry and he was a dear. Put
out his little arms to come to me and "talked" a good deal. At dusk I sat by
the fire awhile with Claude & then walked
home (in the rain) "Heart bowed down".
