me. I was sorry Claude wants him to look like Char. Mrs. Wilkinson said "He's the picture of his Grandfather Bragdon" and I've decided she is right. He behaved beautifully, showed his little hands (like Henry's and Char's) his little face, his little feet, his pretty little ears and even opened his eyes when he was told - baby blue now, of course. We owe this baby to Dr. Ely, who worked long to save him, Miss Wilson told Mother. We left Mrs. Hoyt at Scrantom's & got home in time for lunch (not much but Meta's soup!) Then I had to rest an hour or two - but dressed and went to Cro'nest again for that hour or so in the nursery (see page 25) and a cheerful talk around the fire. They went rather early and left Jo & me alone. We sat and talked till one o'clock or so. I told her much that happened Sunday night (I can never tell it all, I'm afraid) and we discussed the future - I slept in Claude's room - a lovely night.
