Club
- a man's social club to which Frank belongs - on the steamer "Wm. H. Fear" & were in the naval parade, which started about ten - when the fog had almost gone. First the "Trojan" - which went down for the Governor & other guests - then the "Rensselaer" - a tremendous big thing with D.A.R's &c. (but no lunch) Then the "Reynolds" (with Elks) then Us & then the "Philip's" (?) with nurses & doctors - & rows of others behind - it was a beautiful sight & a lovely ride down the river - so much to see too. A big army encampment on Patroon I where cavalrymen saluted &c. Hills fitted with people &c. &c. We stopped I just above Albany & the 4 or 5 big torpedo boats came up past us - then the little "Half Moon" with Hendrich Hudson gazing off the Bow - & then The Clermont, with Robt. Fulton & his guests (including Gov. Hughes) on
