go in very far - but farther than the others, who stopped to eat blackberries. It is very pretty there, but the girls were hot & we hurried, as Klem was going home. Got dressed & washed up & had our pictures taken by Mrs. Ely (awful of me! - I've cut it off the film) Klem & the Shone's left at 4:30 - Mrs. S.

kissed Mr. Russell goodbye & almost did Mr. H.

She is certainly "The merry widow," as he calls her! Trudy & I took the rug & went & sat down on the shore & watched the big waves - our back to a log - till sunset. I took one - but not the best. After supper we walked down the road to the big oak - & there met the team coming for the Rosseaus, & rode back in it. It was a gorgeous primrose evening & lovely sunset - moonlight & big waves. They were very anxious to have another Seance with us in, but we tried & it didn't - work well. The table was fractious. Mrs. R.
is evidently a believer. They called up Uncle Jay (!) Our seats are changed at table - & are even nicer. Aug 27. Friday. Fine cool day. Last night's arrivals proved to be a bride & groom just mar- ried yesterday - outdoors - over by Sodus. Katherine Sill and Chas. M. Reed (of Washington Pa) They are real nice & of course Mr. Huerter had some fun with them at breakfast & played the wedding march at breakfast!
