visited Lura &c. but said very little. I
staid down & wrote Claude's article for
him. Had a nice warm supper at 10 o'clock! & then to bed.
Mar. 18 Thurs.Mother & I dressed up in our good clothes &
went & saw the Cornell Masque in "Oolong" at the
Lyceum tonight. It was good for amateurs.
Mar. 19 Fri.
Snow again. Had a nice time lunching with
Mother,
Bess & Mary at
Sibley's. "Esmond"
died this morning. He was over 80 - tho' very active - but lost everything in
the fire friday night in the East Side Savings Bank Annex & the
shock was too much for him. He was a well-known character. Went over to
Davis's late - just for five minutes or so
- Mrs. D. is sick a bed. Took a picture of
dear Mother with Chandler.
Mar. 22 Mon.Mother's 49th wedding anniversary. Claude
didn't get home till night. I went with
Meta & Theo to a musicale at Amelie's.
The McCall girls, Guernsey Curtis, Mr.
Ward (his admirer
