Frances was very cunning - we saw her go to
bed. She's a sweet little baby.
Lillian has much to bear but she's a brick
with that cancer hanging over her!
Frances calls Miss
Crichton "Titty-ti-ton"!
Feb. 26. Fri.Claude invited me to go to "The Witching
Hour"
tonight, but was about sick with a cold - & Chandler too - so gave me the tickets & I took
Lura. Went up to the house to get them at
noon & saw
Letitia (now the "cook"!) & the baby.
Henry was asleep. Went to a church supper
with Father & Mother
tonight, then to the theatre - which we both enjoyed. Telepathy was the theme.
Feb. 27. Sat.JW. home again & I had rather a busy day.
Went to Edith's tonight with Bess
& Mary, & spent the
evening (Miss Hosey, too, of course)
Feb. 28. Sun.
Sunny morning. Winnie
brought "Hemeny" down to see
Gran'ma. He brought "Al'cy" but played with "Lily" a
good deal. Looked at my
Alice-in-Wonderland book and picked out "Hump-et-y
Dumpet-y" as his favorite - "sitting on a wall" (looking up the wall
in wonder.) He was quite talkative & very entertaining - but in digrace
this p.m. when I went up there. Chandler was
sick & listens the dearie. He went to sleep in his Auntie's arms, but
hasn't slept
