Dec. 7. Sat. Fine today - about 40 degrees. Busy. Shopped with Edith's for "Perfects" tonight. Amelie came over (in a new brown suit) made quite a visit. Dec. 8. Sun. A dull day. Went up to Cro'nest this p.m. via. South Ave. ("the longest way round"). Had a long talk with Char who said I did her good and she'd like to have me live with her (!) Henry - sitting in his father's arms was a picture - dear one. Wish I had it so. Dec. 9. Mon. A "soggy" day. Tonight Mother and I went over to the Bride's (Milly's) They have a dear little flat and everything nice. They showed us their wedding presents & fed us on wedding cake and tea. John

is to be married I think next Thursday. Dec. 10. Tues. Mother went to the Autumn Chapter and I to the cafeteria this noon. Had a jolly dinner with "Bobs" "Mary Belle" and "Jacks
" called on Edith later. Dec. 11. Wed. Snow today - Mother has a bad cold. The twins

were here this p.m. - during their great Grandmother Arnoldt's funeral (She died Monday) J.G. & J.W. had a "Spat" this a.m. Dec. 12-13 Thurs-Fri. Uneventful - Lunch at Sibley's Friday. Mother still about sick. Nancy Hillman a 1 yr old. Dec. 14 Sat. Snow storm all day and a blizzard tonight. Mother really sick - I had to wait 25m. for an Exchange St. car tonight. Lunched with Papa at Sibley's, Mother went to bed about four - I got some "Perfects" favors & made some rhymes - but felt downcast about dear Mother.
