Dec. 5 Sat. More Christmas shopping (with Miss Flack) tonight at Duffy's &c. and the usual accounts. Dec. 6 Sun. A dreary

day. To Cro'nest a little while (where I tried some pictures) and then over to the Davises - Hamilton's (not home) Frank's (a nice visit with Frances & all) and the others Charlotte is better. Dec. 7 & 8 Mon. & Tues. Cold & horrid. Marguerite Rowe has jaundice. G. Bridgeman took me to ice cream at Guilford's. Dec. 11 Fri. Lunched with Bessie Bob and Mame in their office & we went up to see the cottage-competition plans at the Chamber - of Commerce - very interesting. I went with George Bridgeman again tonight - a soggy night - and later to our church to hear Dr. Barbour's illustrated lecture on the Yellowstone. Dec. 12 Sat. Shopped - some what in Miss Stowell's Studio & Jap goods. She has a lot of pretty things. Dec. 13 Sun. This is the hard Sunday for us all - remembering a year ago - but all the days are hard now. It doesn't seem pos- sible it's a year since our Charlotte left us. Went to Cro'nest and Herb Caswell came and spent the afternoon - ever after Claude left for Mrs. Hoyt's we sat by the fire & talked and then he came down here to supper. Letitia not at all well. Dec. 14 Mon. Busy and dress makery. The Hamilton Davises were over here this evening (late) Dec. 15 Tues.
Chandler, 1 yr. 19 1/2 lbs.
Little Chandler - boys birthday. I went up to see him to bed and stayed to supper. Later Claude went to the Theosophs and I made calendar - blotters.
