& then home to our "frugal meal" & got ready for the Pie! The dining table had to leaves in & was crammed. Mal, Char & Claude came down & we started in about 8:30 - after taking a flash light pictures & were two hours opening things! Everybody had a good time. Char was delighted with the photograph book I started for Henry. I got a lovely straw suit case from Mother - besides a lot of other things. and a lovely green umbrella from Char. Later we had ice cream, chocolate & cake & sat up till after midnight & Marion & everybody seemed to enjoy it hugely. Dec 25 Tues. Fine Christmas! Late breakfast. I went to Carings to see their presents. Elsie is home from Norwich & she & Dolores came over here went up to Cro'nest & took some pictures of Henry but had bad luck. The best one the cap fell off & partly fogged it. Another he moved & the third he was too bundled up anyway & its horrid of Char. Henry got some rubber boots for Christmas! I had some plum pudding up there & we had dinner here (a good one) about 4:30 and then went over to Meta's to see the Christmas tree lighted up & the children's things. Played flinch wrote lots of letter tonight.
