Coldish. JG. is sick & JW. not well (but kept me busy. Read all the magazines tonight.
Feb. 5 Tues.

Feb. 6 Wed
Stormy day. Lunched with
Father & Mother at
Sibley's & went shopping with
Mother - we traded the green
stamps for a rocking chair!!! Went up in the gallery tonight to see
"Daughters of men". It was great - but not so great as
"The Lion & the Mouse" (by the same author.) About
labor & capital & how hard it is for them to get together.
Feb. 7. Thurs
"Brite & Fare". Home to
lunch. Busy with many competition perplexities at the office - we are
certainly "up against it"! Played
flinch tonight ( Mother has won the "championship" (5th series) by one card
- now I'm beating her.
Feb 8. Fri.
Very busy. Lunched with
GCB at Sibley's
then went to Nan's for a brushing. Wrote letters tonight - to Alice Wolfe & Helen Davis - (who wrote me a funny one from
Florida"

Mrs. Weston's tonight and then to lunch with
Chattie
