an hour or so but we didn't mind it till the very end - when we decided not to eat in the stuffy cabin. Arrived safely at the Ojibway about 8:30 and Helen met us and insisted we sleep inside, as it was cold - so we did (like logs) Aug 3-13 Sat-Tues. in No.6. I'm not going into detail about the Ojibway visit. There were 4 or 5 days of perfect weather - we slept in a tent near the house and I got a sore throat & cough the first night and didn't really like it any of the time - except it was nice to be out of the house. We slept in again the last night (I in 15 & Trudy in 14) The Hotel is nice and Helen & Hamilton do finely. There were beautiful walks - (to the "Point" - across to "Stanley Ferry" - to the west rock &c) There was a tame deer - Tommy - who followed us around and a dear of a cat named "Jibby" (for the hotel.) There was a lovely sunset rock to sit on. A canoe ride in the evening with the Skipper . A ride to On-on-darga with Alice Colby (her Island - down Hemlock Channel), & rows to Stanley's Island, to "Hole in the Wall" (almost) to our lovely "tie-up" (to read "Capt Eri" aloud.) way up to Yoctangee, St. Helena, Mandalay & Duazyupleze the first Sunday p.m.
