Nov. 27-28-29 Mon. Tues. Wed. Didn't do much these days. J.W. back but not busy. Work going on fast at Orphan Asylum. The "mounted squad" of police look fine. Helen Davis is in N.Y. & Bedford for the week. Worked on "hotel" plans (!) and read and played flinch. Char here to lunch Tuesday - invited us to Thanksgiving dinner. Turned cold Wed night. Nov. 30 Thurs. Snow & cold - regular winter weather. Spent the morning enjoying myself at home & went to Cro'nest to dinner at one with the family - just the family. A nice dinner and a good time. The winter woods were beautiful. Left early & went to the football game (the first in some time) East High and Masten Park (Buffalo) "we" beat in a good game 11-0. It was very cold but I didn't mind about 5000 there and lots of singing and "rooting". Got home after dark & spent a cozy evening in my red wrapper, reading &c (flinch) Dec. 1 Friday "It seems like Monday". Claude phoned me and I went "to Cooks" with him tonight to see "Chinko the juggler" Cole & Johnson (author of the Bamboo Tree") &c. He said the lovely old pine (which was struck by lightning 2 yrs ago) was cut down today. Too bad!
