rained tonight. Mother and I went to the Mechanics to supper and then to Bessie Mason's demonstration on "a child's lunch box". Not extra good. Jan. 19. Fri. Cold and nice. Went to see Lunched with Helen this night & met Miss Wasson Robert Edison in "Strongheart" tonight with Laura. Rode down with Char & Claude, who were going too. CFB had met him this p.m. in Newton's Studio at a "tea fight". I thought the play was fine - especially the College life and the football. The Indian doesn't appeal to me quite enough to make me sympathize with the girl who would have married him. Every seat was taken! The MacArthurs sat near us & Meta & Herma. Jan 20 Sat. Getting nicely caught up with my work at last. JWC has bought a new Locomobile and will be home tomorrow! I got my trial balance done soon after four so skipped out and went up to see Lillian Davis in her new flat on Manhattan St. Helen was there and showed me around. As the Miss L. was sick. It is lovely. From there I went down to Miss Stowell's studio and
