Claude lecture about City Improvement
&c. but men only were allowed (men's club).
Mary came up to see me to invite me
to the Camera club - but I didn't go, so she stayed.
Mar. 12 Tues.Mary's birthday. Walked down with
Theo this morning. He's going
down to meet Herma & has
permission to go out in the Custom House boat.

Horrid weather and JWC. the "limit". Am reading "The
Seeker". The first part very good.
Mar. 14 Thurs.
Horrid dark day. Miss Bradshaw's 18th birthday. She's such
a pretty little girl. Went to see "Mlle Modiste" (Fritzi
Scheff's play) with Edna Fassett
in it, with Edith tonight
(F.S. is ill) Elsie was there & Will.

Lunched with GCB at Sibley's today. Myrtle
Swick came tonight, after supper and stayed all night. She's
full of enthusiasm, starting for Danville, Va.
Tuesday, to run a lunch room in a cotton mill &c.&c. She'd
been at the Institute all day, getting posted. She enjoys the
camera (JW's) immensely

Spring sunshine today, and the ice went out between over bridges this
p.m. (Mrs. Canon saw it & told me about it in the
car) Gilmore is sick. (Hasn't been
well all winter) Did accounts and wrote &c. tonight (Saturday.)
