May 12 Sun. Fine morning - Went to Cro'nest. Char purturbed for want of a cook. Henry a darling - I held and Kodaked him (no good) This p.m. went down to Edith's to supper. Mary was sick & couldn't come but Nellie did & Miss Maise & we had quite a nice time. Mrs. Robertson & Donald helped entertain us. May 13-15. Mon-Wed Warm summer weather - people sitting on porches &c.&c. visits with Marguerite & the Carings &c. but more or less Spring purturbation & nightmare - I long for summer & fall - No spring for me! May 16 Thurs. My birthday - Cloudy & cool (It poured yesterday p.m.) Dearest Mother gave me the first gold dollar she ever earned (it was Uncle's) a box of candy (in memory of little Zenda) & $25.00 for a Mahogany book case with glass doors & Claude $5.00 for a Kodak developer. Papa gave me money for gloves (& a stock) (Trudy a nice silk bag for my work basket. Lura a silk shirt! Helen camping utensils for Mandalay - Charlotte
