Mar. 7. Weds. Cloudy and disagreeable, I did feel so very badly this noon that I went over to Cumberland St. to see Dr. Davis and he sent me home and to bed, with three kinds of medicine. My head ached fearfully all the afternoon and evening. Mother was an angel of course. Mar. 8. Thurs. Home sick all day - Felt better all but my head and that did by spells - but I got to thinking about awful things like going blind, which made me very very blue. No one could have such a good Mother as I. We played flinch, & Papa read - Jno. Percyfield is delightful. In the evening Lura came over, also Charlotte and Hamilton. H. has the new plans of "Pine Tree Inn", which are mine with a few very slight changes. He calls me the architect. Mar. 9. Friday Went to the office simply because I was too busy not to. Not a hard day, however and felt better at night Lunched at Sibley's with G.C.B. To- night, to "reward" dear Mother, I went to an advertising party at our church with her. I guessed the most of anyone, 39 out of fifty odd. Mother was next - 36 . She was "Ivory Soap" and I "Pink Pills for pale people" (The pills Dr. Davis gave me - & Mother's a cork)
