falling out of a 3-story window at the Queen's! (apparently unhurt) Ned
(5 or 6) is a little dear - charming & amusing. Then there were later comers - and goers. I could write pages about it! Aug. 14-16 Wed-Fri. Our journey home was quite an event! The Mazeppa (daily boat) was taken off and the Brittanic goes down anytime from 11 p.m. till 4 a.m., so all the boarders kissed us goodbye about 8:30 - but there wasn't room for us in Tom Smith's "ah-wis" - with the trunks & the Bedlingers - so we sat on the steps & chatted with Helen a couple of hours & went up - in the dark - about ten. Gertrude & I in the bow with the steersman & Tom and the two young men in the stern. We arrived at Jack McIntosh's dock a little before Eleven. Hamilton came over (from Milly's) to say goodbye & go down himself - and we found the crowd before us occupying the only two chairs - some boxes & stools.
