They were just taking the trip - going back this p.m. Songo River was beautiful - then the sun came out a little - we looked hard for turtles - And we did see an Indian dancing on a rock! Got to Portland 12-something and had my trunk expressed home. Wrote a postal about it to Mother and then went to Corde's for lunch - Left my bag there for the p.m. & hunted up a shampoo place (Hill & Harvey, Durant Block) & got a nice shampoo. (Miss Harper's girl - Purkington - is at 559 Congress St.
 - busy) Then got some film & then went to my favorite - "Eastern Promenade" to spend a couple of hours looking at the lovely and ever - changing harbor - I enjoyed it hugely - Nice big schooners & dear little yachts - a stiff breeze - but from the west. Went back to Cordes for an early supper and my bag - & then to the boat. The "North Star". Had a very good state room but had to promise to allow another lady in. Sat and watched a beautiful sunset - The last of it just as we sailed away thro' the lovely harbor - sights - & out past the light - houses and islands. The sea is the place to think and to rest! After some time I went forward, when the moon was - (behind a little curdled cloud) - and the wind - It was delightful but made
