1/23/07 All-of-a-sudden-Peggy.
Jan. 21 Mon J.G. & JW. away. Very busy with our new system of blanks - have Am getting the construction department where it belongs - not in mine Our new man (boy) Mr. Harper is very nice. Flack getting ready to go away. Read tonight Jan. 22 Tues. Snow today and cold. Still on blanks Papa read aloud to us tonight. Jan 23 Wed Cold. Stayed down this noon to do a little shopping for Mother. Went to the Bijou this noon to. Tonight went to see Henrietta Crosman in the Peggy play, with Mary, Nellie, Emma & Alice Mac. It was very amusing - Alice says little Emily
 weighs 14 lbs (with her clothes on.) Jan. 24 Thurs. Very cold - Eight below zero. This afternoon I went over to the Genesee Valley Club (ladies day) to see it - Claude's handiwork which is certainly beautiful. Mr. Danforth was at the door - and "OldGeorge" Humphrey & Jim took us thro' - Chrisp & Miss Silvernail, Mr. & Mrs. Phillips, &c. (from top to bottom). Finally found Claude & Char (or they found us) and C. got us seated for Salad and ices (I ate with Geo - & the Phillips) oh yes, Mr. Vanderlagen was there too & invited me to his Studio to see the characters. I can't describe the club. It would take pages. Came home.
