I neglected to say that Mary weighed 111 at the station and I 155! (Is it possible?) After dinner we put on our old togs & took a nice walk up a side road past cows & apple blossoms & bridges &c and across lots to some nice woods (violets & a few trillium) Rested by a pump coming back. It was a nice walk. Then went down behind the barn to a little bridge & sat and made boats &c. Then by the house - always outdoors. Got acquainted with "livestock" & Mary sat in the lane in the sun & read the "Theatre Magazine". A young boarder "Babe" Price entertained us with an Edison Phonograph! After supper (a good and sumptuous one) "Walter

" took us for a drive - out to the lake - Nine Mile Point - and around by "Burnette's" & home at just dusk, past a big bonfire - we had more phonograph & bed at 9:30. May 31. Friday A beautiful day - but still cool - Woke at 6:30 but dozed and finally break- fasted at 8. Mary decided to go to town to "look at" the office - so we walked to "Webster Corners" with her (& little May
, who went to buy shoes) Mary went on the 9:21 car. Nell & I
