Sun. Apr. 22 Fine today. Throat still sore, but I doctored and took my first ride on Diana (cyclom 631) to South Park. The hill, the creek (a man was painting) the links and the river. Canoes were being tried - and power boats - and decks got out & it was cheerful and sunny and warm enough. C.F. here to dinner. It got chilly later, so I didn't ride over to Davises as I intended. Read "Violet" and had a late supper. Mon. Apr. 23 Fine today. Stopped to see Nellie Mac. and Mr. Nevin and in the evening read "Nedra". Tues. Apr. 24 Still fine but rather windy as I found when I rode Diana back at noon. Edith came up at 5:15 and I walked down the hill with her - got a pot of daffodils and rode up to Cro'nest to see Char - who got home this p.m. - after 7 weeks! She is looking fine and we are all happy to have her back. Read "Harpers" tonight and finished "Nedra", Papa read aloud too. Wed. Apr. 25 Still fine. Read "The Awakening" in Harper's tonight. It's good. Played flinch when Mother got home from prayer meeting. Music too. Thurs. Apr. 26 Still fine. Rode Diana. Mrs. Andrews came down today to shop but I didn't see her till night. She doesn't look first rate. We had a nice jolly visit, as usual. Fri. Apr. 27 This certainly is a gorgeous week. Went down with Mrs. A. this morning and this noon
