till we met the 3:08 car home. Main St. is certainly beautiful & has many beautiful old houses. The ride home was cool and delightful. We went to Cro'nest & found only Claude & Henryhome. C. in an "ice cream" suit & Henryactually dirty! from "doing the Bissell Carpet sweeper act" as Claude calls it. He was a dear. Char & Kath came later (just from a drive) and I made a discovery and as we walked home Charlie Wray & his mother overtook us in an Auto-touring car & brought us home! July 15-19 Mon - Fri. Flack (Miss) away Gilmore back. J.W. sailed for Europe - hot weather, but not over-busy. J.G. & the P.O.D. the principal amusements. Lunch at the Cafeteria once or twice with the girls. Shop some - and Thurs night Father came home & went to Buffalo for the day Friday. Char, Kath Mary Mac & Carl (Greek pug ?) called tonight. It has been hot nearly everyday this week. Kath told funny stories about her 10th reunion ('97) at Smith. Char's class was '92. July 20. Sat. Showery but Father, Mother & I went to Maple- wood about 3:30 or so, and got a nice piazza corner. Read "Mr.Pratt" aloud, sewed, walked in rain & stop - and the people, had supper & walked down to the Country Club crossing to take the car home. We really had a very nice time & were home in time too.
