7 miles!" - That was the limit! (Tho' I knew it) and when I tried to ride that way the wind almost made me stand still - so I came back to the Pittsford path thinking to take the trolly - as it was getting late. I had to walk nearly all the way - because of wind and hills - and when I was about 3 minutes from the station (tho' I didn't know it) I heard the 2 o'clock trolly go and found - when I got there I must wait till 3! At the R.R. station I found that train had just gone! Well I phoned home not to wait dinner, and to keep Grace Bingham, who was to call. Then I had a glass of milk and sat in the shade and waited - too tired to hunt for the strap to my Kodak bag which I lost. I finally got the 2:59 car (with Diana) and arrived home about quarter of four. Grace was there and we had coffee & cookies and such a nice visit before the fire and upstairs in my room - she told me about "John" (Haganian)
