Cold and rainy. Went down to Trinity church tonight to Esther Warmington's wedding (Alfred Leggitt in the Roch. Trust Co.) The church was well filled & I had a nice seat in the middle aisle (my new hat on!) Esther looked very nice & the bridesmaids too. The choir (vested) sang "Faithful and true". Charella was there &c. Afterward I went down to Edith's for little while. She has engaged a room at the Samovar for July. (and will probably stay longer.) She told me about "Mort's" wedding (last Saturday) Little Amelie is very very sick. They practically gave her up this p.m. but called a second doctor. &c. (High fever.) June 7. Fri. At last it cleared off and was a beautiful afternoon for the Police and Firemen's inspection - right in front of the Cutler Building. Miss Bradshaw and I saw it from JWC's windows - I lunched at Sibley's with GCB today and then went to Nan's to have my hair done. Papa read from Mark Twain's "Christian Science" tonight & then Claude & Char came for a nice visit - Mrs. Wilkinson expected tomorrow. Jun 8 Sat. A perfect day. Home to lunch & spent the p.m. with Mary in South North Park - by the pond and down in the woods and watching a Postman - Naval Reserve Ball game. Read, wrote figured & played flinch tonight.
