had a cup of delicious tea (Jno. Dumont's) He was there & Miss Sterling and another girl who left soon. Miss. S. showed me her Pennaquid pictures. Then I went over to Scrantom's and got a book to read (which I didn't need) Had a late supper & wrote & read &c. Sun. Jan 21 Was in bed night all day, quite used up. Got up to dinner however & staid dressed till about 5. A lovely day, very warm about 74 degree. People sitting out on their piazza &c. Dolores & I went thro' some of the new brick houses across the street. Floss Looney called in the afternoon. I read "Naughty Nan" by Jno. Luther Long - not much good. Mon. Jan 22. Used up today. JG & JW. back from N.Y. Each had bought a new Locomobile. JW's gray & JG's red, worked hard. Read "The Martian" and played flinch tonight Tues. Jan. 23 Colder, but nice. Helen called with Millie McIntosh ("Jack's" sister) this morning. Tonight I went home to supper with Lura & we went down to Edith's played flinch and visited some time. Wed. Jan. 24 I'm getting quite gay. Entertained Millie Mc.I. & Helen at lunch at Sibley's this noon & had a very nice time indeed. Chat & Mrs. Armstrong lunched there too and afterwards Chat & I shopped & bought shirtwaists and things. Tonight
