Jun. 11. Sun. A dark gloomy sultry day. One streak of sun about ten on the way to church. Mother and I went to the Brick

(first time I'd been in the new one!) and saw the Twins "Margaret Behn" and "Amelie Behn" baptized and "John Donald" and "Dorothy" Frey. There were about 20 in all & nice exercises. We came out early and then went into our church and heard Ham- ilton Griswold sing - Then I went up town and saw a fire in the upper stories of the Post Express Building. Then took the car to Cro'nest and on the way saw three men fall out of a boat into the river! No one but Carlie & the girl were home, but Kath soon came in from church and then Claude from downtown (Char had gone to another church and Ethel to Pond's to dinner) - We had a lively chat & I held "Puzzi" and walked home - Pressed my brilliantine skirt this p.m. and then re-dressed & went over to see Helen (who goes to St. Helena next week) She wasn't home, but the rest were, including Frank & Lillian, and "George
" came - Walked over thro' Dartmouth St to take the car. Read upstairs. Then lunch & then writing.
