Nov. 10. Fri.
Slept better last night but
its an ulcerated tooth and swollen today. Had lunch at Sibley's
with Papa (also Helen and
"John
" at next table) and Edith came up tonight and we went to the
Mechanics together to supper. (
Mother went to the church) Home
in "the cold moonlight". Horrid night. Didn't sleep very much.
Nov. 11. Sat.
Too sick to go to the office
today - or to get out of bed for more than 5 minutes now and then.
Mother was so
good to me and got me such good things to eat and read to me
and played
flinch &c. Had the crisis with my tooth
about dark and felt better in the evening. Finished "Double
Harness" by Anthony Hope.
Nov. 12 Sun
Slept first rate tonight and
late this morning and didn't get up and dress till dinner time.
Then wrote some letters and strolled around the old orphan asylum (which they are
tearing down) and now - not 4 o'clock, its dark! Read old letters and
had supper and got very sleepy about nine but went to bed too early to sleep well.
