Aug 15 Wed Aug. Another fine day. Lura gave a dinner tonight. Mabel, Nellie, Mary & I We had a lovely time - quite like "long ago". Talked, sang, laughed, ate, drank, &c. &c. till very late. Mabel was the Belle of the Ball, as usual. here was lots of "baby" talk. Mabel brought Clare's

& "Roger" down in the afternoon & he is cute & Nellie had been taking Emma's. Dean over to see Lillian - Fond aunts - the Perfects. Aug 16. Thurs. Still very fine, but warmer. Had a letter yesterday and a telegram today asking me to stop at Malden & I think I will (starting Sat. morning instead of night.) Went to Lura's for some things she was making me for Char & Lillian & then to Cro'nest to supper with C & C. and to see the dainty baby things. Then came home to finish packing &c. Aug. 17 Fri. Much warmer - Lunched with Papa at noon, then shopped - went to bank, bought ticket &c. &c. Lura came home to supper with me as "Marie" went to Syracuse tonight. I did cash acct. wrote & finished packing "till a late hour" Aug 18 Sat. Went to the office, all fixed for my trip - lunch &c. (Dear Mother's good kind) Gilmore wasn't there & didn't come before I left at 11 - (late train from Conesus.) Took the Belt Line to station & found Papa there. Had a reasonably comfortable ride -
