Edithcame home to supper with me tonight & spent the evening. She had some Indian Lake pictures &c. to show me. Sept. 7. Fri. Warmer. Papa & I ate lunch with Bess Hutchinson & Mame Dickens today at Sibley's - they are enthusiastic about Sabael & Indian Lake. John & Mae Stull came & sent congratulations to Char & Claude! Afterward I went to the Bijou and saw "The amateur Cracksman" Crochetted tonight. Sept 8. Sat. Warmer. Saw Frank Davis at six - just summoned home to take Lilian to the hospital. Chattie was in the car & greeted me thro' the window. Account & journal tonight. Sept. 9. Sun.

This noon Mother & I went up & saw little Hal! He's a darling, a dear little short upper lip & curly brown hair. He was asleep in the green room in his basket. Claude wished he'd open "his little fool eyes" - but didn't. He's lovely. Took pictures of father and grandmother also of Putzie & Claude took me of "Auntie" I washed dishes &c after dinner & then after learning of the baby of Lillian's & Frank went out to Davis's & had visit with Chat the two grandmothers &c the grandfather Also two girls (Miss Jean Nagce
& another) just from the Ojibway, with pictures, Lillian was very sick and the dear little girl was born in the operating room but is "fine "they say.
