July 18 Wed.
Cool and fine and lovely, but
I'm feeling pretty rocky, thank you or was by night) haven't got over
my early rising Monday morning yet. A lot of us (the
Mc Arthurs - that is Nellie, Mary was sick) -
Mrs. Baker & Lura, Laura, Chattie & I)
went to see the Mikado at the Lyceum. It was
very good. I sat between Chattie & Nellie.
July 19. Thurs.
Another fine day. Mother read her missionary paper today,
and afterward met me at Charlotte
and we had dinner at the Ontario (not extra good). Sat there an hour and a half or
over. Saw some vaudeville and a "loop-the-loop", &c. It was rather
crowdy going home, but we had seats & the air was very soperific -
Went right to bed.
July 20 Fri.
Hot and homid. Everyone used
up. Went to bed at 8. Thunder showers &c. tonight.
July 21. Sat.
Sultry. Busy morning. Spent a
good deal of the p.m. on bed & sofa. The boys -
Jack & Fred, went on their vacation to
Gananoque & the Islands. Their Mother, who has held in town a week,
went with them. Played flinch tonight
& was over to Behn's a while but
felt pretty bad. Meta &
Theo went to
Rush.
July 22 Mon.
Horrid hot sultry day. Didn't
keep my clothes on any more than I had too
and was awfully sick in the afternoon. About as much as I could live thro'-
