Nov. 29 Thurs. A gray Thanksgiving morning but it cleared off beautifully afterward & was fine. Went to the train with Edith at 9:35. Dr. Andrews had come down on the early train to go back with her to Geneseo for dinner at Dr. Wells'. The sun came out & I sewed the rest of the morning. We all went up to Cro'nest to dinner - a good one & had a good time. Henrywas brought down afterward. He isn't gaining lately & Char's rather worried about him, but he seems perfectly well & fine. We watched him put into his little hood & stowed away in the opened room for his fresh air. Char and Claude went to "Man & Superman" tonight. Mother & I went over to Davis's and had quite a visit. The "Franks" & Frances were there & Jim Conolly & his wife & 11 mos old baby. We talked "Ojibway" some. Mr. Davis has been sick abed four days. Came home & played flinch after supper. The little Wratten baby across the way (less that 3 weeks old) died tonight. Poor little mother. Mother went over a few minutes. We also went in to Meta's. Nov. 30 Fri. Schanch is here from Ohio &c. there is the usual office performance. We put up a Model O. Chute in the new part. Wrote at home tonight. Dec 1. Sat. JW. came home this p.m. It snowed little blizzards (between lovely sky-scrapers) I had supper at Sibley's with Lura & her mother & we shopped afterward. I had no inspirations but bought a few things at Scrantoms. Wrote &c. later.
