the Lawrences, the two Browns & Miss Fanning came & we had welsh rabbit &c. till after eleven! A very jolly time - I found the "Yitta Hella" very entertaining Didn't sleep first rate (welsh rabbit? coffee?? or Co.???) Wed Aug. 29. Another gorgeous day - Cold morning and evening Did errands and packed some, after breakfast, Then Alice & I walked up to Hillgel's cottage on the hill "Pen-y-Bryn" (House on a hill) A lovely view from there and from the platform under the pine tree beside it. Mrs. H. reminds me very much of Alice Jones and has her attractions. She showed us over the house - Norman (the lucky boy who named the "Yitta Hella") was there - restless, but cute. Later we walked up into the "Pine Grove" when Alice & Nan used to spend their time last summer (when they boarded at the hotel) The view was beautiful - The whole lake like a map - below We walked down another way - right thro' the pines and thro' a barn (where I had temporary hay fever!) and to the hotel, where we called on Miss Harriett (?) Knight (the blind one) on the upper piazza. She is very attractive to me. I think because she is so immaculately neat and so very cheerful - two things it is so hard for a blind person to be
