were off on the Bay
somewhere - but we left a box of fruit and wafers
and a note. Climbed up to the car about five and got home just the
right time for supper - a bath - the beginning (in a bathrobe) of
"The Garden of Allah" and early to bed and such a sleep!
Oct 9. Mon.
Saw a cloud to-day - Quite a
rarity. Asked J.W. about
Malden (the nicest way I could) and he was very
gracious suggesting I start Wednesday
morning! so tonight I wrote letters - I'm delighted.
Oct. 10 Tues.
Fine to-day, but quite hot (!)
Mother
went to
Caledonia to a missionary meeting - Papa lunched with me at
Sibley's - Tonight we both met
Mother
at the train and all went
to the
Mechanics Institute to supper.
Edith
and Miss Maise came up and I played flinch tonight. It was really hot - Ate
grapes. Bed late.
Oct 11. Wed
A rainy day at last! The
first in I don't know when. It turned cold, too, this p.m. Went
home early (in the pouring rain) to "prink"
as tonight is the "Perfects" Reunion - only
seven of us this year.
