Nov. 17 Sat. Cloudy again today. Mother went up & saw Henry put to bed tonight. Con & Edith have gone to house keeping so Con writes. I wrote, figured &c tonight. Talked to Jack. Walked up with Frieda. Nov. 18 Sun. Poured this morning but cleared off beautifully so warm & nice I went up to Cro'nest & fixed my camera (while Char & Claude were off for a walk) and when they came back took Henry's picture - the first - looking over his mother's shoulder. I took some snapshots too, which were no good. I was so sorry too, for he was perfectly bewitching - smiling up into Claude's face - and Char's. After dinnner I went over to Mary's to see Alice Whitten's little Emily

(born Sept. 28) and later Frank & Lilian brought Frances over. They are both very nice babies but "me for Henry". He is certainly the handsomest Frances weighs 12 1/4 & sits right up - Emily
weighs 9 1/4 and Henry about 11 1/4 or less. Walked home. Read & finished "Coniston". Edith came up in the evening for a visit. Nov. 19. Mon. Fine warm day. Went to the milliner's about my made-over green velvet hat. Its going to be very pretty. Meta is real sick - tonsilitis. Frieda was over tonight. Played flinch. Hot bath and bed early.
