quaintance and I liked them even better than before. We staid till time to go the train. Mr. L.
is an enthusiast on Lincoln, and showed us many pictures &c. and his interesting library. They are to move soon (before Aug. 1st.) Our train started a 7:30 and we were in the house, at home at 10:30 - after a delightful evening ride along Cayuga Lake and then a night one thro' the moonlight. It was a fine day. Both enjoyed it. Jun. 4. Mon. J.W. is gone to N.Y. and "peace reigns". Rather tired but didn't work over hard. Jun. 5 Tues. Warm. Nellie Mac went to the National with me tonight (on press tickets) they did very well - Mrs. Neil reminds me of Mr. Lee a little. The costumes were good "Willie
" called for us (& rather "waited") and they saw me on my car. [Which reminds me, Newton Cooper came home "married" a couple of weeks ago. She's a head taller, too.] Jun. 6 Wed. Very warm. Lunched at Mechanics Inst , with Mother, (she'd been to Flossy's class day) and saw the Exhibit. Bought a gold - topped cord to send Edith Andrews &c. Jun. 7. Thurs. Still warm, Tonight we went to M.I. commencement. Flossy, Elsie Caring, Miss Mason, and Earl Miller, & Lina Jennings graduated. Saw Mary &c. Walked home with Mother & Miss Marshall(!)
