steamer "pockets". Tonight went with them all to see her off. She looked very nice in brown with a bunch of violets & a soft black hat. Met Pomona Dickinson & Robert Robeson went on the same train (to Utica I think) About 15 people saw her off! mostly girls. Oct. 24 Wed Nothing special. I'm reading library books "Lady Betty across the Water" and Oct. 25 Thurs. "Woodfire in No. 3" &c. Not fearfully busy nowadays, glad to say. Staid up late reading. Oct. 26 Fri. Lunched with G.C.B. at Sibley's. Went to Dr. Scranton's 'cause my gold crown fell off. He says he must dig out the root!!! Tonight went down to Edith's (with Mary & Nellie) we played pedro & talked a lot. Found when I got home that Edith Andrews had been here, on her way to Buffalo. Went over & saw the G.V. club with Claude. Oct. 26, Sat. Oct. 27 Dark day. Caldwell was in - just going back to California, looks pretty well. Lunched at Sibley's with Hutchinson & Dickens & did "Bijou" & in the evening went over to Meta's to hear about her trip & Herma's sailing &c. The twins
acted pretty bad but Frieda is certainly a terror. Accounts later. Oct. 28 Sun Cold & snowed a little (mostly in the evening) Read & made prints this a.m. Marguerite Rowe was over a little while (to borrow books) After dinner (a good one) Mother & I went
