Nov. 16. Thurs. Still not first rate weather. Supped down town - at the Manhattan - with Mother tonight and we went to the Cat show at Colonial Hall. Some fine cats but not very wisely arranged - too crowded - "Ginger" (Zenda's rival) was there and a dear baby Angora they sold shares on. We staid late & I was tired. Nov. 17. Friday Lunched with Helen and a "Chapter at the "Y" today. She says Herbert Stull & Billy DeGraff have each taken five shares in Hamilton's Company (hotel). It was horrid - rainy snow going home tonight. Met Mary & then Charlotte & then rode. An accident at the Fitzhugh St. corner. Killed an Italian (bricks fell on him) Char, away still & Claude a "bachelor" She went to N.Y. Tuesday & Catherine

the old maid came back Thursday. Nov. 18 Sat. A trifle better as to weather. Lura & I went up to Avondale Park to get some things L. purchased at the "Cooked food sale". I talked with Hamilton while she & Helen were busy (& a few other people) Mrs. DeGraff came in - looking quite charming. I went back to dinner but Lura &
