1905.
Jun. 9. Friday At last a perfect June day after four or five of rain. All fuss and flutter at home. for Myrtle and Florence graduated tonight and Mrs. Swick and Edith Charlton are here. We all went to the exercises of the Central Church - an interesting (but long) speech by Dr. Draper & loads of diplomas to give. The girls looked nice and flowers were numerous. Went to a reception at the Institute afterward. Had a nice chat with Miss Stowell and with Mrs. Hoyt & Mrs. Eastwood, May Allen & others. Came home rather late. Florence slept with me and we didn't get to sleep till after one (nor to bed much before.) Jun. 10. Sat. Cloudy again & some hard rain - not a very nice half-holiday. But I was home, anyway, to assist in getting the girls off. Edi Florence went at 3:25. Myrtle & her mother at 4:55 and Flor Edith
at 5:25. I went to the train with the Swicks as it was raining and they had lots to carry. Ethel Mundy was in the car - She goes home tomorrow. She got the 2nd Wiltsie prize,
$10.00 - her picture was fine. The station was crowded. Met Mabel when I came away (after seeing about the dilatory trunk) & had quite a chat with her. Then did a little shopping and got home to supper at 6:30. Looked over my clothes tonight & sewed.
