About eleven 11:30 o'clock Trudy and I started on a long walk. First to Cro'nest (locked - Minnie

out) Then over to Highland Park and down among the "Epiglotis" or some such flowers (Trudy told me!) and thro' Highlands Ave. bicycle path to Clinton Ave. and then mounting up to explore the pathetic old Pinnacle cemetery (always a different path for [illegible]) and thro' the woods and down the "bear's hill" to the heights of the Orphan Asylum hill. It was a clear a day as I ever knew - and every thing stood out cutting the air with keen edges. We stopped a moment to say "Hello" to Miss Dinehart. (She leaves next week for 6 months - some fit with Electa Burleigh, whose mother died last week.) We got home a little late for dinner, but Mother forgave us. I made a lot of prints afterward and wrote and figured &c. Trudy took a nap and then came up to my sofa and we had a nice visit. Aug. 28. Mon. Tonight Mother, Trudy & I went over to Mrs. Wetmore's on Greig St. Found her very entertaining. She told us all about Grace
& Ruth Dowling's plans. It began pouring while we were there and Papa came for us with three umbrellas!
