blushed like a boy. I showed the Walker family the way up, and we had to wait for the fog to go away to get back. (a 7-mile row for little me!) Then there was The Blue Berry Party. A nice one - and Miss Hyland & Miss Seltzer bought Islands "way down channel and we had a shore - dinner - Picnic - to christen them ("Highland" and "Nebraska" - where she came from - I wanted "Bronco") Then a lovely launch ride home - up the old channel and Sing looking foolish but talking business (later) at the wheel - a visit to his log cabin & to Mrs. Sing (the new) and back to the hotel to dinner. Then a whole day's fishing with Mrs. Buell & the boys - and two guides "Michu" the Frenchman (who camped near the hotel Island) and "Joshua" the Indian (Maggie, the laundress' husband) a fine dinner on "Black Jack" Island "The last of the 30000" and where the gulls came afterward "to eat the fish-peelings" as little Ned
said, and Will
caught a 3 1/2 lbs bass and I caught 4 bass, myself! Then
