Trudy's (40th) birthday. I went up
and took little Henny-penny's
picture for her - with his 3 Teddy- bears (from Madelaine Hoyt, Uncle Harry
and Elizabeth
Isabel Hollister.) He sat up alone in the big Morris
chair. Staid home and read &c. this p.m
Mar. 18 Mon.
Gilmore still sick. Very busy. Went
over to see Herma tonight. She &
Theo got home this morning. She
gave me a pretty little green ooze-leather "Omar Kayhan"
(Ruby-at) Had a lot of pretty things and is quite improved I think,
and awfully glad to be home!
Mar. 19 Tues.
Horrid day. Char's cook, Mildred
left last night & hasn't come back. Had neuralgia or
something - flinch tonight.
Mar. 20 Wed.
Sun, but an awful bad day.
Toothache plasters just kept a tooth from ulcerating. Gilmore was sick. J.W. went to New York.
Zenda
had to have a tooth pulled by
Dr. Knight. &c.&c.&c.
Mar. 21 Thurs
Some better. Went to Dr. Scranton's & made an appointment
(another bridge!) To Herma's tonight
to look at her postal card book. Bed early - Papa read.
Mar. 22 Fri.
Dear Mother's 47th wedding anniversary, warm.
Feel better. Took the Bride & Groom to lunch at the New
Westside Store. Tonight went to the YWCA
