over to the
Eureka Club to see "Alice in Wonderland",
with Alice Chace as Alice. It was pretty good -
and parts very good - such as the caterpillar -
the mad teaparty - & the court scene - Bess H. &
Mame D. sat behind us. The
Flacks
next. Edith & Miss
Maise in the distance and Flora Vogel "behind".
Feb. 10 Sun.
Dark soggy morning - Bright
& fine at noon & snow later. Went up to Cro'nest
& tried some more pictures
of my baby (with his hair parted!)
Mother came - but he was restless
then and I think these were not a success!) Came back & wrote & did
accounts. He was as sweet - our baby - came back & read
"Mollie Baron" (but coudn't get up much en- thusiasm) It
stormed outside.
Feb. 11 Tues.
Stormy. Came home to lunch -
Had a postal from Flack from
Havana. Read "The House by the
Lock" tonight - Quite exciting
Feb. 12 Wed
Fine cold winter day. Lunched at
Sibley's with Mother (saw Edith, Bess H. &
Mame D.) Went out to the City
Hospital
and called on Amelie Frey - just
recovering from an operation for appendicitis! Walked
home. Tonight dressed up and went to the College play "The
Magistrate" - sitting in the Mayor's box with the
Gilmore's. It was quite funny &c
