pleasant & all down hill. We were early for church so went over to see the new Rensselaer Hotel, all tiles & brick floors - very charming. I think. The first Presbyterian Church, where we went was built on ground given for it by my great great Grandfather. We heard Prof. Russell of Williams preach on "Snobbery" or "Snobberstrums

." Later we walked around a square to see "93 Fourth St." (now a boarding house!) and took the car home - found a letter from Mother (stopped at the P.O.) but none from Trudy. Had a very good dinner (Eo's a fine cook) and quite a long talk with Frank - & later, Eo. too - on the little upper piazza - Took a picture of the family group. & we went for a walk over to "the lot". Which is very nice - Gave Eva all the pointers I could think of about her house - saw their plans &c. A Christian Science father, mother & baby (neighbors) came over where we were & we talked up them Frank told me how he was going to fix the ravine on his lots &c. Later we walked over to Elm Hill Cemetery.
